The Comedy of Errors, directed by Paul Rowe, takes us back to the days of fishing admirals and merchants in St. John’s - where the first ship in the harbour held the law of the land. One of Shakespeare’s wildest comedies, this production is perfect for families and young audiences. Comedy of Errors will kick off the season on July 6th, and run Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00pm at the Fortis Courtyard and Amphitheatre, The Rooms (rain or shine!)

The Tragedy of Macbeth is one familiar to many. This year, under the direction of Nicole Rousseau, Macbeth, his Lady, and the armies of Scotland will take to Signal Hill in a fast, brutal production on the Tattoo Field. Beginning July 12th and running Fridays at Saturdays at 6pm.

Finally, we are pleased to welcome back Kelly Russell and his production of “Tunes and Tales” to the festival. Kelly’s storytelling and music is a mainstay of our festival for the simple reason that it reminds us of who we are, and where we came from.
